Our Pediatric Rehabilitation Services offers a dedicated, specially trained team that treats children from birth to 21 years of age who may have developmental delays, emotional or learning disorders, traumatic brain injury or orthopedic problems that require therapy.

Therapies Offered

Physical Therapy
Physical therapist assist with the development of basic movement such as sitting, crawling, walking, running, jumping, balance and coorination. Physical therapists also can be helpful when a child needs to learn to use a walker, crutches or a wheelchair.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists focus on evaluating and treating play skills, fine motor skills, sensory functioning (seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, tasting) and self-care skills, including dressing, bathing, feeding and other skills used in everyday life.

Speech/Language Therapy
Speech therapist look at overall communication skills including listening, reading, use of speech, sighing or gestures, pronunciation, voice, rhythm and muscular movement of the mouth. Speech therapist also treat children who experience difficult or painful swallowing, and evaluate the need for supplemental feeding.

Aquatic Therapy
Occupational and physical therapists may use water therapy to increase strength, mobility and balance in pediatric patients. Therapists use the water as a tool for more effective therapy, not to instruct the patient in learning to swim.
