Our newborn nursery is staffed with friendly, loving nurses who will treat you well and will protect your baby day and night. With our many precautions and safety measures, you will not have to worry about the privacy and safety of either you or your new baby. To ensure our safety measures and your comfort, we ask that you and your visitors follow a few guidelines of our labor and delivery suites.

We take several measures to ensure the safety of your newborn. We carefully place armbands on the mom, dad and baby, which have the same identification number. The nurse will check the armbands to make sure they all match when he/she brings you your baby.

Your baby will have a special security sensor that will alarm if the baby is taken too close to an outside doorway or elevator.

All of the staff caring for you and your baby will have a Floyd photo identification badge. If you see anyone who does not have a Floyd photo identification badge in your room, please alert your nurse at once by using the call button. You have the right to ask for proper identification before giving your baby to anyone not wearing a Floyd photo identification badge.
